The Presbytery of Florida is Florida's oldest presbytery, comprising 36 congregations with total active membership of 4348 and 43 actively-serving Ministers of Word and Sacrament on roll. Our congregations are in the Panhandle of Florida, stretching from Monticello on the east to Pensacola on the west and spanning the Eastern and Central time zones. Our churches are grouped into three geographic districts – West, 12 churches; Central, 13 churches; and East, 11 churches. We are among six Florida presbyteries within the Synod of South Atlantic.
Dogwood Acres, located in the central district, is an approximately 500-acre camp and retreat center developed and supported by our presbytery. The property includes three ponds, hiking trails, a lighted swimming pool, volleyball and basketball courts, baseball field, and overnight facilities for up to 90 people. Our presbytery offers a complete program for youth during the months of June and July and hosts retreats throughout the year.
